FABULUM tiles on a wooden table

FABULUM

The miniature knows it stepped in fire.

Figures and tiles talk on your table. No phone. No PC in the game.

Same step. Two outcomes.

Miniatures and terrain talk through the board. You hear them. You answer with a card.

The table stays the table.

It uses technology, but works independently from computers or smartphones. Modular tiles snap together. The electronics live in the figure, not in a phone.

The three parts

Figures speak to the commander.

When a warrior is low on life, she can call for help — to you, the player who commands the game. Figures can also address each other; you hear that talk as if they were speaking across the board.

Astor’s Rebellion

The first tabletop game on FABULUM. Nyx station has gone silent. Its AI, Astor, is burning satellites. Two people are sent to talk it down — or shut it down.

This film is the story of that game. It is not footage of the hardware. Read the briefing
